Teamwork
We hear this word used all the time and we think YEAH that is what I am looking for, but does it really mean anything? What I mean here is that there are alot of businesses that say lets be a team and we will all win with teamwork, but when you get to looking at them it is another story all together.
I want to give an example here; keeping company names out of the story. Some years back I was with a company that really pushed the word teamwork. They talked about it all the time and it seemed to be important. So getting involved with this company and following the mentors that I had in place at the time I began to work. Now alot of times we get into business with out a "good" understanding of the compensation plan and when we begin to work and see what makes the checks roll, we see that the picture can and usually is different than what we thought. Long story short I was really trying to get my team to have a teamwork mentality. Now if teamwork is in place then that says to me that we all work together to insure each others success. I quickly learned that me helping certain people did not put any money in my pocket and that the more I helped other people the less money I made. This is not TEAMWORK to me!
So when you hear the word teamwork, make sure that you get a clear definition of the word from the company and the person that you are looking to join. You may be like me and have one thought and reality could be alot different. Also examine the compensation plan and make sure that it encourages teamwork in it's pay structure. Teamwork in the compensation plan can make a huge difference in the speed of the income you are looking for.
I hope that this has given you something to think about and that it has helped you as well. I also hope that you will share this with someone that maybe benefit from the information as well. Thanks you for stopping by and reading my blog!

- examine the payplan of whatever you're in. Yes, I'm learning. Not often finding real teamwork.
I'll try to stay connected. captainmatt
